FRAM Alloy Steel
The shipping industry discovered the benefits of using iron wires to lift their cargo. Being strategically located near the harbour of Rotterdam, Stinis became actively involved in the development, fabrication, certification and servicing of chains, hooks and accessories. Since 1966, we have become an official dealer of FRAM Alloy Steel, Norway.
What we learned ever since is that a chain is as strong as its weakest link. Keeping this in mind, we have strongly invested in knowledge about how to strengthen this weakest link. It is general knowledge that as a result of the variety of dynamic forces, the chain’s life-time is easily reduced when applied in the wrong way.
Stinis has produced over 5000 different types of cargo handling solutions based on a combination of chains, slings, hooks and other accessories. We have a specialized team for all certified repair and testing activities. We advise our customers given the specific need, produce and assembly the right combination of lifting accessories, take care of the required documentation and certification and maintain an up-to-date customer-product specific administration.
