The Stinis Split-Headblock® is the most recent innovative breakthrough in the container handling business. It can be equipped with two Spreaders (any brand), and thereby lift up to four 20’ containers, two 40’ or two 45’ containers, one 20’ and one 40’ container as well as many other combinations. The Stinis Split-Headblock® is the right choice for terminals who seek to boost their productivity. Up to date, Stinis is the only supplier that has a proven track record of a workable solution.
4 x 20ft + Long-Twin® shifting
Automatic Spreader Recognition
Because of this smart software, the Stinis Split-Headblock® recognizes the type of spreader that is located underneath the Headblock. Whether the spreader is a Single or a Twin lift spreader, Light weight or Heavy weight.
Designed to overcome operational challenges
The Stinis Split-Headblock® has many features to overcome operational challenges. It can move in 5 different directions to:
- Facilitate operation in the cell of a ship
- Load and unload containers on /from chassis’ that are not properly aligned
Building flexibility for the future
The introduction of the Stinis Split-Headblock poses an interesting challenge to conventional terminal operations. To benefit from the increased productivity on the quay side, yard operations must be able to handle (almost) twice as many containers. For terminals that want to be prepared for the future, Stinis introduces the phased approach. With the phased approach, the Spreader (any brand) and the Headblock are prepared for tandem operations. The terminal chooses when to replace the fixed frame (red) by the arms that allow the Headblock to separate the sheaves. With the phased approach, the terminal minimizes invested capital but keeps the option to quickly switch to tandem operations.
To date, many of our customers have chosen to be prepared for tandem operation with the Stinis Split-Headblock®. For more information about preparing your terminal for tandem operations with the Stinis Split-Headblock®, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
