The successor of the Stinis mechanical overheight frame was introduced in 2004. After 1 year of extensive testing, this product was officially launched into the market. Ever since, many terminals worldwide have benefited from this innovative product.
The fully automatic overheight frame can be used under Ship-to-Shore cranes, straddle carriers, yard cranes and reach stackers, and can be connected to the container spreader without any human intervention. It can also be used in combination with all spreader brands without any major mechanical or structural modifications to the main spreader
This overheight frame is equipped with a safe twistlock mechanism which is unique in the industry and guarantees a safe and efficient operation. The LED lamps mounted in well chosen positions provide clear-cut information to the crane driver. We supply the full range of electrically operated overheight frames from fixed 20ft or 40ft to telescoping from 20ft to 45ft.

Rescue and maintenance platforms
Early 1990, we developed a rescue and maintenance platform to rescue persons from container vessels and straddle carriers in case of emergency. The platform for straddle carriers is multi-functional since it is also very useful to clean the windows of the driver cabin of the straddle carrier.
The platform, which is accessible from all sides, is protected by sliding and movable doors. It is connected to the main spreader using the standard spreader twistlock connection. For safety reasons, the platform is supplied with an extra lock to the main spreader. Although the purpose is the same, the design of the rescue platform for gantry crane use differs slightly from the one used under straddle carriers. Differences include the way the rescue cage is entered and the length of the platform to which the cage is connected.
Safety lashing gearrack
Early 1980, we developed the safety lashing gearrack that allows terminal staff to lock and unlock stacking fittings in a very safe way. Before Stinis introduced this spreader attachment, terminal staff had to walk on top of the containers, exposing them to dangerous situations.
Our safety lashing gearrack contains storage for lashing equipment during operations, and can easily be stored on the gantry crane or on a standard chassis. We offer this spreader attachment in both a fixed and movable version, which can be delivered with different lengths, ranging from 20ft to 30ft and 40ft. The attachment is connected to the main spreader using the standard spreader twistlock connection. For safety reasons, it is supplied with an extra lock to the main spreader. The Stinis safety lashing gearrack comprises two levels, with a capacity of two persons per level, allowing terminal staff to handle two layers of containers simultaneously.
Multi purpose safety platforms
Early 1990, Stinis was the first in the industry to develop the multi purpose safety platform that allowed terminal staff to pick up stacking fittings out of the corner castings. Before we introduced this spreader attachment, terminal staff had to walk on top of the containers, exposing them to dangerous situations. This multi purpose safety platform can also be used for rescue operations.
The multi purpose safety platform contains four boxes for storing lashing equipment during operations. We offer the complete range from fixed 20ft and fixed 40ft, to telescoping platforms that can expand up to 45ft. The platform is connected to the main spreader using the standard spreader twistlock connection. For safety reasons, the cage is supplied with an extra lock to the main spreader.
